Gary Metcalf – Co-Founder, President
Gary Metcalf and his partners formed Cadence Sports, Inc. to provide professional, innovative event production services to organizations and their missions. Given the numerous dynamic needs of events today, Gary is constantly working on additional avenues to bring clients’ ideas and goals to life through passionate, tried-and-true planning and execution.
Regardless of the sport or cause, Gary is a true believer in living an active, vibrant lifestyle and has geared Cadence to assist those who share the same values. Gary holds an International Business and Economics degree from Texas Tech University.
Brian Leto – Co-Founder, CEO
Brian Leto, applies strong leadership and project management skills to Cadence’s multi-faceted operations. Along with his general management duties, he leads the company’s financial planning component.
As a runner and cyclist, Brian enjoys supporting these activities through his career. He holds Marketing and Management degrees from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX, where he was a collegiate soccer player.
Megan Cary – Timing Director
Megan manages our quickly growing event timing operations and does it with calm and grace. She has been timing races and working events since 2003. In her spare time, Megan stays busy by running, practicing yoga, traveling, shopping at Lululemon and wobbling in every city she goes to. Megan holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
Roger Mast – Event Manager/Technical Director
As Event Manager and Technical Director for Cadence Sports, Roger Mast oversees development and planning of the event course. He is in charge of all route data, permitting, security, and event details as well as development and execution. A resident of Atlanta, GA Roger has worked with a large number of cause related and Pro races, rides, runs, and walks across the US.
His attention to detail and thorough approach are exceptional and a great asset to the Cadence Sports group. Roger is an avid cyclist and runner who is very knowledgeable with the latest in equipment technology and industry trends.
Marni Tucker – Production Director
Marni serves as the Production Director for Cadence Sports, primarily focusing on all venue related logistics. She has an extensive background in event management in both corporate and not-for-profit sectors, most notably in cancer fundraising events, professional cycling, and motor sports. Before joining the Cadence Team, Marni was the Operations Manager of a Motorsports Facility, Technical Director of a professional sports car team, and Crew Coordinator for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. In her spare time she can be found trail running and climbing mountains. She holds a Bachelors Degree from New York University.
Ben Leto – Fence and Truss Equipment Operations
Ben Leto manages the Cadence Fence & Truss equipment operation. Ben and his team bring a wealth of large scale event experience to clients who demand a logistically sound and safe event with a high production value. An avid traveler, Ben loves the outdoors, cycling, and taking in the local attractions that each city has to offer. When not on the road, Ben spends as much time as possible with his two children, dog, and cat.
Lauren Benshoof – Event Manager
Cadence welcomed Lauren in May of 2012 when she joined our internship program. After a summer of hard work and dedication to our events and their causes, she transitioned to our staff and now plays an even greater role on our event management team. Lauren comes to Austin, Texas by way of Colorado and truly values immersing herself in an active lifestyle. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exercising, attending concerts, and frequenting sporting events at her alma mater. She graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Sports Management.
